The Ragdoll type came from the 1960's when an American woman called Ann Baker saved many kittens belonging to a feral longhair cat called Josephine. Baker after that reproduced 2 succeeding kittens from independent trashes: one strong black woman called "Buckwheat" and one sharp man called "Daddy Warbucks.".
Using Daddy Warbucks as a stud, Baker bred a sufficient quantity of kittens to launch the Ragdoll breed.
